If you’re searching for gluten-free fish and chips on the Sunshine Coast, the search ends here. At The Sanctuary Cafe in Dicky Beach, our fish and chips are cooked in a dedicated gluten-free fryer — the same fryer that never touches a single piece of gluten-containing food. For coeliacs and the gluten-intolerant, that’s not a small thing. That’s everything.
Why our GF fish and chips are different
Most cafes and takeaways that offer “gluten-free fish and chips” are using the same fryer for everything. Cross-contamination is almost guaranteed. At The Sanctuary Cafe, we made a deliberate choice from day one: a dedicated GF fryer, used exclusively for gluten-free cooking, by staff trained in coeliac-safe food handling.
The result is fish and chips you can actually trust — crispy, fresh, and genuinely safe for coeliacs.

Gluten-free fish and chips on the Sunshine Coast — the safe choice
Whether you’re a local in Caloundra or visiting the Sunshine Coast, The Sanctuary Cafe is one of the only venues in the region offering coeliac-safe fish and chips from a dedicated fryer. Our owner Abhijeet Bedi built the cafe specifically for the GF community — and our fish and chips are one of the dishes that reflects that commitment most clearly.
Come in. We’ll have the fryer ready.
